She’s also thorough and makes sure everything is as safe as it can reasonably be. It was a huge relief when she was able to accommodate sudden changes in the material and schedule we had to work around after I had some surgery. I think the big highlight from the lessons was learning how to consistently hang upside down hands free, which I could never manage outside of class. I feel confidently past the beginner stage now and am looking forward to seeing what’s next. I would recommend anybody at any level or dance to contact her, even if it’s just for advice!

 I started the program as a complete beginner. I could not kick up to the wall, had low upper body strength, and had a fear of falling. Kiana met me at my level, creating a customized and progressive program for me. With her guidance I was able to build my strength, and slowly became more comfortable being upside down. She taught me how to safely kick up and fall out of a handstand, as well as how to hold a handstand with correct alignment. If I was not able to do a certain technique, she would improvise new drills and break things down even further until I was able to get it. During sessions she gives targeted adjustments and corrections that help you advance and progress in the skill you are working on. I made many breakthroughs during the sessions just by making the adjustments she suggested. Kiana has been so great to work with and I’m grateful I had the opportunity to learn from her. Even though I achieved my goals for now, I would definitely work with her again to continue to improve my handstands. I can’t recommend her enough as a teacher if you are looking to see progress and results.

The moment I attempted to do tuck position, I was feeling pain on my neck, back or legs. I started to think that my body might not be convenient for the inversions. And eventually my last attempt in June caused a back pain which lasted almost a month. I was about to give up on my dream with the feeling of failure. It was the moment I came across one of the videos of Kiana giving some tips on headstand. Her guidance in the video was clear, her tips were just spot on and well-supported with her visual demonstration. Kiana has tremendous experience in the field. She provides incredible guidance that helped me to unlock my own physical and mental limitations. Over the past 5 months, I have progressed in ways that I could not have imagined before and started to perform tripod headstand.
